In the summer of 2008, just before entering his Junior year at Morris Catholic High School, Michael Iamurri was chosen as the first recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship.  As a result, Michael received $3,000 towards his tuition in each of the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years.

While at MC, Michael was a very talented soccer player.  As a Freshman he was MVP of the Freshman team and lead both the Freshman and JV teams in scoring.  He made the varsity team as a sophomore and as a senior, he was selected 3rd team all-county.

Michael started off his college career at County College of Morris.
