The Friends and Family of Martin Boryczewski Scholarship is awarded to a member of the junior class at Morris Catholic High School. Established in memory of Martin Boryczewski, a 1990 graduate of Morris Catholic, this scholarship is awarded to a student who has actively and consistently demonstrated the true Crusader Spirit of “character, community and commitment.”This is a two-year scholarship that provides a portion of the recipient’s tuition for junior and senior years.The scholarship will be awarded to a junior student as selected by the Morris Catholic administration and based upon the following criteria:

 

  • 1The student should be an honor student, but not necessarily the highest-ranking student in the class.
  • 2The student must be involved in various activities — a participant in school, community, and athletic and/or extra-curricular activities.
  • 3The student should possess leadership qualities and be of high moral character and sportsmanship.

Scholarship Awardees

Michael Ionta:

Michael Ionta has been chosen as the first recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship aimed towards a Saint Peter's University student. Please find out more about Michael.

 

 

Joseph Michael Onorati:

Joseph Onorati has been chosen as the next recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship. Joseph joins 4 previous winners and will receive $5,000 towards his tuition at Morris Catholic High School.

 

 

Roxana Ponce:

Roxana Ponce has been chosen as the fourth recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship. As a result, Roxana will receive $5,000 towards her tuition at Morris Catholic High School in each of the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years.

 

 

Sarah Shirkey:

Sarah Shirkey has been chosen as the third recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship. As a result, Sarah will receive $5,000 towards her tuition at Morris Catholic High School in each of the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years.

 

 

Sean Rabbit:

Sean Rabbit was chosen as the second recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship. As a result, Sean received $4,000 towards his tuition at Morris Catholic High School in each of the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years.

 

 

Michael Iamurri:

Michael Iamurri was chosen as the first recipient of the Friends and Family of Marty Boryczewski Scholarship. As a result, Michael received $3,000 towards his tuition in each of the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years.
